2023 Mentoring Day at Acrisure Stadium

On Saturday, August 19th, people from all around Western PA gathered on the North Shore to celebrate the 2nd annual Mentoring Day at Acrisure Stadium. Thanks to the generosity of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Steelers' season ticket holders, TMP hosted more than 500 mentoring programs, mentors, and mentees...many of whom enjoyed their first game!
It was a great evening for mentoring champions and supporters to celebrate the start of a new school year. It was also a great start to the upcoming football season – the Steelers beat the Buffalo Bills 27-15!
"Thanks so much to the Steelers and the Steelers' season ticket holders for making this a great experience for our students. Our mentees loved the seats...what a class act!" said one program attendee.
Co-founded by Ambassador Dan Rooney and George Miles back in 1995, TMP is dedicated to ensuring that all young people in our region have access to caring adult mentors who can help them dream big and thrive. We build on our co-founders’ legacies each and every day through our work with hundreds of local programs offering high-quality mentoring to young people in our region. This event was a great way to convene mentoring champions to celebrate mentoring in the ‘Burgh and cheer on our Black and Gold. Let’s go Steelers!
