The Power of Encouragement

Let's Do This

A few kind words can change everything for a young person. Encouragement helps build confidence and resilience, reminding them they have what it takes to keep going—even when things get tough. When a caring adult consistently shares positive words, it creates a foundation of support that can last a lifetime.

  • Encouragement doesn’t have to be big or complicated. It can be as simple as: Recognizing effort, not just results (“I see how hard you’re working!”)
  • Reminding them of their strengths (“You have such a creative mind.”)
  • Offering support during challenges (“I believe in you. You’ve got this!”)

This week, make a habit of sharing one encouraging statement with a young person each day. Whether in person, over text, or in a note, your words can make a difference.

Stay Inspired

Encouragement isn’t just about making someone feel good in the moment—it shapes how they see themselves in the long run. Your words have power. Use them to uplift, and watch the impact grow.
