Planning for a New School Year
Let's Do This
August 1st is National Planner Day and, while the young people in your life may not have a physical (or electronic!) planner, it's always a good idea to help kids of all ages plan for a new school year. Think of age-appropriate ways to get your kids involved in planning for back-to-school. Help preschoolers think about what they may want to pack for a snack. Help a new elementary schooler learn their daily schedule and when they can look forward to their favorite classes, lunch and recess. Brainstorm with high school students about short- and long-term goals for the year and who can help them achieve their goals. Planning ahead can ease any worries or fears and help young people start a new school year off right!
