Self-Reflection

Encourage Reflection with Powerful Questions

Let's Do This

Reflection is a vital tool for growth and self-awareness, especially for young people. Encourage youth to reflect on their actions, choices and experiences by asking open-ended and powerful questions. For example:

  • What’s one thing you’re proud of from this week?
  • What challenges did you face, and what did you learn from them?
  • If you could do something differently, what would it be and why?

These questions help youth think critically, understand themselves better and build confidence in making future decisions. When young people feel heard and supported in their reflections, they’re more likely to engage deeply and make meaningful progress toward their goals.

Stay Inspired

Sometimes, youth just need time and space to process their thoughts. Be patient and listen actively—your encouragement can make all the difference!
