Meet Kimberly Doubt: TMP's New Director of Training and Program Development

Published

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of our team: Kimberly Doubt, TMP's Director of Training and Program Development!  A mother and grandmother, Kimberly is a native Pittsburgher who grew up in the East End and attended Pittsburgh Public Schools.  She graduated from Carlow University with a BA in Sociology and minors in Professional Writing and Psychology.  She holds certifications in Theology, Counseling and Criminal Justice.

Kimberly has been in the human service field for more than twenty-five years.  She is driven by a passion to advocate for minority women and girls. She has a special interest in moving families toward stabilization as they are faced with challenges. Kimberly has dedicated her life and career to working with specialized populations in our local schools, the Health Department, the County Jail, Children, Youth & Families and Community Correction Centers, all to offer support across a wide variety of services including drug and alcohol, mental health and domestic violence.

In fleeing an abusive relationship, Kimberly recognized a void in critical resources for victims of domestic violence, as well as barriers to access of existing supports and services.  As result, she founded The Light of Kimberly, a non-profit organization whose mission is to address the unmet needs of victims of domestic violence and abuse.

In her role with TMP, Kimberly will oversee our programmatic work with mentoring programs, school administrators, community leaders and volunteers to ensure that high-quality mentoring is available and provided to youth in Western PA.  Please feel free to reach out to Kimberly with program questions or just to say hello!  She can be reached at kdoubt@mentoringpittsburgh.org
